Less Posting, More Sewing

Sorry I haven’t been around a lot over the last few months. I’ve been busier sewing than talking about sewing, and I’m not sorry about that. I’ve managed to piece the Dazzling quilt by Chelsi Stratton.

Please ignore the bourbon display in the background lol

This has been a fun quilt to do. I’ve enjoyed the “one block wonder” of it all, and it’s been a while since I used a dark background fabric, but I love the way it turned out.

This fabric just sings to me. I absolutely love the contrast.

I also have spent a little bit of time working on some embroidery projects.

This is a mug rug design from designsbyjuju.com, and I had a ton of fun making it. I have become somewhat obsessed with Kimberbell, but before I jump off into that, I thought I’d work on some smaller projects to refresh myself. This was a great starting point! My next embroidery project will be a couple of placemats from designsbyjuju.com, and then I’ll be ready to tackle a Kimberbell project. Maybe. 🤔

I’m working on getting a wall in my studio set up to use as a design wall and a place to do wall sandwiching. Once I get that set up, I will finish the Dazzling quilt, and then the other dozen or so quilts that need quilting. 😂

So, what have you been up to in my absence? Have you completed anything, or started something new? Let me know in the comments!
